Our Story
We started Lillow in May 2024 with one thing in mind: There’s got to be a better way to drink socially.
You know the feeling: you want something in your hand but you’re not up for another heavy beer or sugary mocktail, and sparkling water just isn’t cutting it.
That’s where Lillow began. Let us introduce the two-man team behind it.
Márcio, originally from Portugal, with a background in service and a curiosity for how people drink — and why. After moving to Denmark and spending years around Copenhagen’s startup and bar scene, he kept seeing the same problem: if you wanted to drink less, your choices were… meh. Too sweet. Too bland. Or just another soda while your friends kept going.
Peter is Danish, with 15 years in some of the country’s best restaurants and now a partner at KOST STUDIO, a food innovation lab rethinking how we grow, taste, and enjoy what we eat and drink. His obsession? Flavor. And sustainability.
Together, we set out to make something we wanted to drink ourselves.
So…what exactly is Lillow?
Lillow is a sparkling drink that sits somewhere between an organic soda, a beer, and a cocktail, but doesn’t really belong to any of them.
At 2.2% ABV, it’s low in alcohol, but full of character. We use real, fresh-pressed organic fruit juices blended with a malt-based fermentate made from upcycled yeast production. This gives Lillow a refreshing, fruity profile with subtle fermentation notes, complex enough to feel special, easy enough to keep sipping.
It’s organic. It’s circular. It’s made in Copenhagen. And it’s built to be enjoyed more than once.
